Basketball begins soon

Practices will be once a week, in the evening.  We have 2 different areas of basketball.  We have some athletes that compete on a team (regular team or 3 on 3) and some that compete in individual skills.  Below are some of the things your child should be able to do to compete on a team.  If your child does not have these skills, they would probably be better suited for individual skills.  Coaches will have final say on where the athletes best fit.

If you are interested in your athlete participating in basketball, please email:

Don't forget to sign your athlete up for swimming and bocce if they are going to participate.  Also, please RSVP for the banquet if you have not done so already.  Thanks!

On Friday, April 19th, two athletes from the Mansfield ISD All Stars Special Olympics team received awards at the opening ceremony for Area 11.  Raeka Phelps was named the Female Athlete of the Year and Justin May was named Unified Partner of the Year.  A unified partner is an athlete without disabilities that competes alongside an athlete with disabilities.  Both of these athletes have been with the Manfield ISD All Stars for several years.  They both attend Legacy High School. Congratulations to both of them!
